Submarine Capability beyond 2025 - Special session on Conventional Submarines
The Conference was conducted in Ulvik, Hardanger, by Sjømilitære Samfund on 29th August 2012. Aim of the conference: Knowledge and competence is leading
the way to proper decisions.
This conference is aiming for broader understanding of capabilities and capacities a new generation of submarines should be aiming for. Industry to give windows of opportunity.
The conference gathered some 140 persons, representing national – and international industry with great experience on Weapon Systems and Submarine Construction
showed high degree of interest for the topic. In addition navy officers and engineers from The Royal Norwegian Navy joined up. Strategic setting, operational
aspects and political statements were presented in the morning, while technical aspects and industry capabilities dominated the afternoon.
